  • The DeRosa Family

It was so fun getting to know the DeRosa family while photographing them at the butterfly preserve in Santa Barbara. I met them at their house and we all rode to the spot together. All three boys were the sweetest--they even noticed a cool looking backdrop for a photo which ended up being a COOL LOOKING BACKDROP. MAD props for participation! After we were all done with the session they set off for a dinner and a movie. A perfect Friday in the books!

  • Oxford wedding bells

There's something so special about being a photographer for a wedding because I'm inserted into this amazing celebration in the most intimate way. To top that feeling, the bride and I were able to share stories of "that time when" all day. We have memories of being kids and playing on her parents property when it was in contruction. We have memories of my older brother leading us to the not-so-great-decision of burning our barbies. We have memories of being young entreprenauers, collecting tossed out golf balls and selling them to a couse. We go way back. Way, way back. So it was the greatest honor to fly to the U.K. where Katie moved and met her prince charming to photograph their wedding. And Will is quite the charmer too. Loved this wedding and the Oxford backdrop too. You can't beat Magdalen College and later a dinner venue that was used as the infirmerie for Harry Potter! Yep, fancy!

  • Abbie and Jimmy

I full-heartidly appreciate a relaxed bride. Abbie was putting the finishing touches on name cards when I arrived where she was getting ready. Calm and collected, she arranged flowers for the wedding and got ready while in an airbnb with her family hanging out too. Abbie's dad was sipping on a beer when her brother's got in from their outing bringing news that they'd seen Mike Meyers. Welcome to Hollywood! The sun was just turning everything golden when this cool nurse/filmmaker-duo got married at Madera Kitchen in Los Angeles. They each kept their walk-down-the-isle song private until the day-of and I was obviously smiling large with Abbie's choice to lip sync Beyonce's Halo. Jimmie rocked out too! We took a quick walk around the block after the ceremony to photograph them and was was happy to see the party lasted until 12. What a great wedding!

  • Becca and Eric's wedding

I am smitten with Becca and Eric who tied the knot last weekend in Santa Barbara, California. These two were incredibly relaxed on their wedding day and their love for each other is very bright. So many smiles! The house was a perfect venue. It was a large space that felt intimate. The weather was amazing and everyone had a blast.

It was a special wedding for me to photograph because Eric and I used to play as kids. They got married in the house Eric was raised in and I joked with his older sister Katie about being kids and jumping on the bed in the same room where Becca was getting ready.
